Are you looking for a new challenge, to connect with others and improve your wellbeing? Then volunteering with Girlguiding Edinburgh may be for you. We have many girls in Edinburgh looking to join Girlguiding as Rainbows, Brownies and Guides, so to make this happen, we need new volunteers/members to lead units or to generally help out. We have many roles for you to get involved in so why not join our online event to find out more? You may have registered interest already - in that case, do still come along! Being a member with Girlguiding has so much to offer you, as well as the girls. We will tell you all about this in our event, which will be on Zoom so sign up today. You will be part of the team who provide festival goers with a flavour of the language and culture of the Hebrides. You will be a fluent Gaelic speaker and have a friendly outgoing nature with the ability to work as part of a team. Suitable for ages 16 and over.

Over The Wall is a charity that helps children, young people and their families, living in the UK, reach beyond the boundaries of their health challenges to discover a world of mischief, magic and new possibilities. We do this by providing free of charge, transformative activity camps throughout the UK. Teammates are an essential part of camp, supporting campers throughout their time at Camp, building fantastic relationships whilst encouraging and inspiring and empowering campers as they complete camp activities. Campers will be divided into teams based on the age groups of 8-10, 11-13, 13-15 and 15-17. You will be part of a team of other amazing Volunteers supporting Campers in a wide range of activities, including Archery, Zip Wire, Rock Climbing, Arts and Crafts, Discovery, Sports and Games and encouraging them to reflect on what they have achieved in evening Cabin Chats. You will also look after the day-time and night-time needs of the Campers in their accommodation. Training is provided both before and at camp to ensure you have all the information you need for camp to be a great experience for you and the campers.

Come along and help us create a 'Pop up Shop' in Portlethen Academy for all that your pregnancy, baby and child needs. We take in preloved items on the Friday night, set up a massive one stop shop for the sale on Saturday morning and clear it all away again. We have 3 volunteer shifts available , 6pm-10pm on Friday 10th, 9am-1.30pm and 1pm-4pm on Saturday 11th June. We ask that you try to do at least two out of the three shifts but please get in touch with if you are able to help at all within those times. As well as a lovely 'pot luck lunch' and the feel good buzz of volunteering, volunteers do get advanced shopping on the Friday night. Come help us provide parents with affordable, high quality preloved items and raise money to support local parents at the same time. Babies in slings are very welcome to come along with parents.
