To run the Museum’s school education programme for primary age pupils from across the area and for occasional high school age groups.
Involves:
• Preparation of worksheets and activities relevant to the topics requested by the schools.
• To lead the activities on the day, with optional help from an existing volunteer.
• To maintain and improve the education programme and its supporting exhibits and equipment.
• To be available to give talks to local groups on historical topics on an infrequent basis.
Experience required: Ideally, some teaching experience at primary level or early high school, but this is not essential.
Experience of working with children in groups.
Some local history knowledge or a willingness to learn topics as necessary.
A PVG check will be required.
