Do you like walking and chatting to people? We are looking for people who would like to support our weekly volunteer led health walks as walk leaders. Join one of our established groups or chat to us about starting a new walk in your area. The role of walk leader involves being a friendly, welcoming face and keeping people safe on a risk assessed route. Health walks are short (typically no more than 1 hour) and low level – we support people to get walking and connect with others.
We provide a half day training course and ongoing support as needed for the role. There are other opportunities for training in areas such as strength & balance, dementia friendly walk leading and first aid.
Find out more about the walks on our website- www.p4w.org.uk/health-walks
