Silver City Surfers assist people 55 years and over to learn basic computer skills 1-to-1 in a social setting.
We have a brilliant team of volunteers that help and are currently recruiting new volunteers.
There are a range of opportunities available such as Computer Tutor Volunteers to assist people learn basic computer skills, Hospitality Volunteers to make sure that people feel welcomed, have someone to chat to and who will make them a tea/coffee whilst they wait to get on to a computer or have a break from the computer and Admin. Volunteers to come in and help file, collate and enter details of numbers of attendees, and print off forms that are needed for the smooth running of sessions.

Silver City Surfers provide people aged over 55 years the opportunity to learn about basic computing including the use of email and the internet. Volunteers of all ages help us achieve this and make a great difference through helping people over 55 access technology in a friendly and supportive place. Silver City Surfers are also involved in intergenerational work through a schools programme.
Travel details: Silver City Surfers undertake sessions and have volunteering opportunities at city centre and community venues across Aberdeen.
