Are you able to inspire young people? Do you have a skill that you may be able to use? The Education Volunteer role may suit you.
The Gordon Highlanders Museum is committed to preserving and sharing the legacy of the world famous Gordon Highlanders Regiment for future generations. A Gordon Highlanders Museum Guide brings to life the extraordinary 200 year story of ‘The Finest Regiment in the World’. (Sir Winston Churchill 1900).
An Education Volunteer delivers WW1 or WW2 workshops as 3 x 30 minute sessions to school children as part of their course work. You will show handling items, talk about the exhibitions involving the children and helping them by giving them the information to complete their workbooks.
You may prefer helping the Learning Officer with holiday craft workshops; involved in workshops where you can use your skills; story-telling, play acting, face painting and crafts.
A fantastic opportunity to help at an award winning Museum. All help is greatly appreciated.
