Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) saves and improves lives across Scotland, delivering expert paramedic care at the scene of time-critical emergencies.
Our fundraising volunteers play a vital role in raising awareness and funds for SCAA across Scotland. Can Collectors raise tens of thousands in change each year. Can Collectors volunteer in their chosen area placing new and collecting full cans. It is a very flexible role to suit you with little time required.
Role Summary
Speak with local shops and businesses about the life-saving work SCAA provides and placing a new can if they are happy.
Keep SCAA updated on locations of cans.
Monitor your area of cans if they need collected. Some are busier than others.
Uplift full cans and providing clean, empty cans.
Count and bank locally (some banks have change counters, but not all).
Contact the office with details of the funds, they will send a thank you and update you on how much was raised.

Working in partnership with the Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS), SCAA is an integral part of Scotland’s frontline emergency response network, responding to trauma incidents and medical emergencies across the country, covering an area of more than 30,000 square miles. As Scotland’s only charity air ambulance, SCAA is funded by the people of Scotland, primarily through donations, fundraising, events and our life-saving lottery.

Enjoy being organised and keeping records.
Comfortable with cash handling and banking admin.
Physically able to lift heavy collections.
Willing to represent SCAA in the community and develop local relationships.
