Join our volunteer experience and become part of our shop team.

With your time and support we will be able to fund the work our charities carries out in communities across the UK.

This is a new donation centre, which is also a shop and we need your support to make it a success and to continue that success.

We have various roles available and would love you to come on board. These include helping as:
• Volunteer Stock Processor
• Volunteer Till Operator/Sales Assistant
• Volunteer Shop floor specialists such as media and jewellery specialists
• Volunteer eBay lister
• Volunteer Driver's mate

Organisation aims and objectives

The Aberdeen Salvation Army Donation Centre supports and funds the vital work our charities carry out in communities across the UK. SATCoL is the largest charity-owned textiles collector in the U.K actively working to support organisations reduce their carbon footprint and combat climate change. Through our reuse and recycling schemes, we lessen the impact on overflowing landfill sites by extending the useful life of products and minimising waste.

Restrictions

Travel details: We pay out reasonable expenses. Parking is available at the site. The Donation Centre is located at Unit B, 876 Great Northern Road, AB24 2BP.

Expenses details: We reimburse expenses on a weekly basis or daily if required. We pay out for public transport and personal vehicle use, but after a discussion with the shop manager, to confirm the agreement.

  • North East Eating Disorders Support (Scotland)
NEEDS - North East Eating Disorder Support (Scotland) is looking for volunteer facilitators, 1 evening per month, for our monthly support group meeting for those who are suffering from an eating disorder, as well as for our carers who are supporting someone with an eating disorder, either in person or from a distance (e.g., a family member at university or living elsewhere). Have you suffered from an eating disorder and been fully recovered for at least 2 years, or have you had experience of caring for a family member or friend who has suffered from an eating disorder and who is now fully recovered or who is still suffering from an eating disorder having had it for several years? If the answer is yes, are you someone who can and is willing to support others in this journey, who can always observe confidentiality, be empathetic, kind, and non-judgemental, be a good listener, be sensitive to those who are not yet able to share, and who can demonstrate the value of self-care. Volunteers should be aware that their social media profiles may be examined to ensure that these are compatible with the aims of our charity. Meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month 7.30-9.00pm at The Macrobin Centre, Royal Cornhill, Hospital. All help makes a real difference and is greatly appreciated. Grow Project Kitchen Volunteer

Do you like preparing and cooking with fresh vegetables? We are looking for volunteers to cook one-to-one, and with small groups, in our kitchen at the Grow Project. The Grow Project runs horticultural activities for adults with additional support needs. We grow fruit and vegetables, and lots of our gardeners love to cook in our new kitchen. If you have an interest in sharing your passion for healthy cooking, locally grown food with enthusiasts with a wide range of abilities, please get in touch.
