The Supportive Transport Service is a key part of what we offer. It provides transportation to individuals living with or affected by HIV and/or Hepatitis C, helping them meet medical, social care, and daily needs. This might include transport to medical appointments, community activities, or essential errands like grocery shopping. Many Service Users face barriers to traveling independently due to factors such as limited mobility, social anxiety, or financial constraints.
In addition to transportation, our drivers often provide a supportive presence by listening or helping individuals reflect on information shared during appointments. Many service users emphasise that this service enables them to attend vital medical appointments that they might otherwise miss. Our drivers contribute much more than just transportation - they play an important role in supporting overall wellbeing.
You do not need your own vehicle to apply for this role, but you must hold a full driving license with a good safety record.
What You'll Do

• Stay in touch with Staff throughout your volunteering.
• Attend check-ins and group support meetings as required.
