What you will be doing
Building up positive relationships with people on the autism spectrum and other volunteers in an arts & craft group setting.
Sending a report to the branch to outline how the sessions are going etc.
Attending the art & craft group sessions
Welcoming new individuals to the group
Liaising with other volunteers to ensure there is a volunteer present for the duration of the group sessions.

The TNYP runs by Angus Council Vibrant Communities Team on Thursday nights during school term times at the Wellbank Village Hall. The project aims to fill the gap between home and school learning and support young people who go through a transition period. It opens to all young people aged P6-S2, who live within Murroes & Wellbank or in the surrounding areas.
We would like to invite volunteers, whether parents, carers or anyone who is interested in this project, to work with us to make this project even more fun and sustainable!
If you enjoy chatting and spending time with poeple then you might be the volunteer we are looking for!
We are looking for people to help with various activities from visiting, hairdressing, hand care, arts & crafts, music or just generally helping out. The time commitment is flexible, usually 2-3 hours per week with a minimum period of 6 months commitment and this is a great opportunity to make a difference in your community.
Main tasks include:
* To support allocated service users with one to one or as a group through engagement in a range of activities.
* To encourage and support the service user/s to engage in activities, walks and socialisation.
* To listen and talk with service user/s.
* To read books/ newsletters/ newspapers/ letters.
* Assist with teas/coffees and to support service users with menu choices.
* To provide companionship to service user/s who have few or no visitors.
* Provide support and assistance to help service users achieve goals.
* Develop and promote a positive relationship.
* Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries.
* Help service user/s to build confidence and self-esteem.
All of the above may include group work or individual one to one sessions held in communal lounge, activity areas, or in service users own room as directed by the staff on shift.

Express Group (Fife) Ltd is a mental health charity, operating in Fife for 45 years. They provide group activities and engage with people over 18 experiencing poor mental health.
They are looking for Social Group Assistants for their groups listed below. Activities involved: setting up the hall (tables and chairs), socialising and assisting clients, organising activities (e.g. bingo, crafts, keep-fit exercises). Time: 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. There is always a Group Coordinator facilitating the group and very often also a Case Worker who can work 1 to 1 with service users when needed. Lunch provided and travel expenses reimbursed.

Wave Radio is a broadcasting service for the wellbeing of patients at Dr Gray’s Hospital -- and by broadcasting online, they aim to bring the community into the hospital and the hospital into the community.
This volunteering opportunity is also a great one if you have a love in music.
They are not just looking for people to present on air, but would also welcome people who have a bit of spare time to catalogue music or music production. For people interested in any of their presenter slots, please know these programmes can be pre-recorded for broadcast at a later time. Right now, volunteers can do their shows from home, through the studios at Dr. Grays. Volunteers who have an interest in specific musical genre (i.e./Classical, show tunes, soul etc. ) or have a wide musical taste can find out more about how to help with their breakfast, afternoon and early evening programmes.

We are seeking individuals to help with running face-face communication sessions for babies, children and young people with Ds. We are also recruiting volunteers to assist with online delivery and resource making.
