Our Carers Call dedicated telephone service supports over 800 carers in East Dunbartonshire. Volunteers call carers offering a chat, which may be about their caring situation or about anything at all. This can reduce the stress and isolation carers can experience.
Volunteers are not there to solve problems but offer support and contact. Carers feedback reports they are relieved not to feel so alone and have access to other services offered by Carers Link or other organisations. Calls are made fortnightly, monthly or 3 monthly, so each caller has a dedicated list of carers to call
