Community Cafe Assistant - Supper Club
Summary of Role: Welcome visitors to the cafe. Prepare food and drinks. Serve and clear tables and other duties to ensure the smooth running of the Supper Club
By volunteering to assist in our trading spaces you will be helping with the smooth running of the trading department and generating much needed, important income for WWT. Our trading support volunteers help our team across the retail and catering operations at Caerlaverock Wetland Centre and ensure we deliver excellent customer service to our visitors. Volunteers will assist the catering team with clearing of tables and supporting behind-the-scenes with tasks such as washing up and loading the dishwasher as well as assisting with the preparation of hot and cold beverages. Volunteers also assist the retail team, visitor services team and catering team to provide a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors, giving information about our wetland centres and products. Volunteers also help keep the trading spaces fully stocked, clean and tidy, ensuring great presentation of products, monitoring numbers accessing indoor spaces, observing social distancing by our visitors, assisting with visual merchandising, pricing, checking off deliveries, and counts as required.
Volunteers required for front of house and kitchen assistants. Tasks include: preparing vegetables, serving food, making tea and coffee, cleaning, customer service, team work and confidence building.
Checkin/Giraffe are looking for volunteers to help us with all duties associated with the smooth running of our food deliveries and collections. These will include:
• To be professional and safe, and drive with care.
• To represent Giraffe in a friendly and positive manner.
• To be organised and punctual.
• Ensure that you are undertaking lifting, carrying and stacking in a safe manner.
Are you a woman who could give 4+ hours each week/fortnight to help support an exciting new social enterprise café in Broughty Ferry? We are based in Castle Green playpark, by the Castle and beachfront and are open Fri/Sat and Sundays for barista coffee, freshly prepared vegetarian and vegan foods and lovely home bakes.
We are a not for profit and are run by an all female professional team set up to support our women volunteers. Our cafe can be very busy, so if you are interested in a career in hospitality or love local sustainable food, this is a great environment to be involved! Our youngest volunteer is 16 and our oldest is 79- we have a diverse community and we operate a 'kind kitchen'. There are opportunities for barista, professional cookery, customer service and till handling. We aim to build self confidence and self esteem through our community.
We are an organisation of volunteers who have clubbed together to provide a central space in order to give other charities the opportunity to use the excellent facilities which the Failte Centre can provide.
Volunteers also prepare and serve meals at the Thursday Lunch Club on a weekly basis as well as adding in various other events to support the community. The Failte Centre have invited folk who will be on their own this Christmas to enjoy a Christmas meal. Volunteers are required to support this event

Friockheim Park Community Volunteers Are Offering Stay & Play Sessions
At All These Sessions We Will Be Providing Hot/Cold Drinks & Basic Refreshments To Both Children & Adults.
You Will Be Part Of A Team Of Volunteers Running Each Session Which Will Be Held On A Variety Of Days Throughout The Holidays,
An Enhanced PVG Will Be Required For This Role.

Friockheim Community Hub is the former Eastgate Primary School and is a fully inclusive project involving the whole community which is owned, managed, and operated by the community itself as a registered charity. The Hub aims to support all age groups and to provide a place for residents to get together socially and groups/clubs to meet (Young People, Elderly, Disabled, Mother & Toddlers, Pre-School, & Children).
We are currently looking for volunteers to help us cover our café within the Hub at Eastgate, angus DD11 4TG. Some tasks would include:
· To assist with the running of the Lochside Café including: - preparing light snacks, sandwiches etc. as required
· Observing and complying with all relevant Health & Safety & Hygiene requirements
· Meeting, greeting and serving customers
· Cashing-up and the handling of cash - keeping finance records of all Café transactions
· Washing-up/clearing tables and ensuring the Café seating area is kept clean and tidy.
We are looking for a couple of amazing volunteers who could help spare a couple of hours on days we are open.
Monday to Friday – from 12pm til 3pm
Saturdays – from 11am til 2pm
Or if you are a cook and would like to help us by volunteering to help prep or bake cakes.
