Inchgarth Community Centre provide a fantastic programme of activities for the community with the tremendous help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week-serving every age group and section of the community.
We have a great opportunity for people to help as Dishwasher Volunteers at the community centre. As a big and vibrant community centre, we offer a large range of activities for all ages and welcome a range of charities at the community centre. We rely on volunteers to help us in keeping the place nice, tidy and welcoming for the community. As a Dishwasher Volunteer you would help us greatly with the dishes during lunch times at the Community Centre Cafe (open 12-3pm) and in keeping the café area tidy.

Searchlight Scotland organises a Coffee Morning every Friday from 10am-12pm at the Junction Café (5 Bon-Accord Terrace, Aberdeen AB11 6DP), in collaboration with The Junction Church.
Our community café is open to everyone, especially vulnerable people and parents with children. People can relax, have a coffee and a chat with our case workers.
Our main aim is to provide to the community a free space where everyone can feel comfortable and have a first contact with us if they need our support.
We have great opportunities for people to help volunteering at the Coffee Mornings and provide a smile to our customers. Main duties are:
• Welcome and chat with customers.
• Help serve drinks and cakes.
• Create a relaxing environment.
• Assist with activities.
• Help tidy up the Cafe' after closing.

Street Friends operate between 10am to 2pm distributing food and hot drinks to anyone in need in the centre of Aberdeen. We are a friendly team who are looking for volunteers to help on the streets. Volunteers must be fairly fit as the role entails walking whilst pulling a trolley, making hot drinks and, this is probably the most important quality for working at street friends, being non judgemental.
We help anyone, if you are kind and believe in helping others, we would like to talk to you, we are on the go 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday, you can volunteer as much or as little as you can, it's totally up to you, give us a shout and let the adventures begin.

Our centres rely on the support of volunteers, so that our Cancer Support Specialists can concentrate on providing our visitors with the support they need.

The Caf4e & Company Lunch Club is for older people who are wanting to meet others in the local community. It runs on Fridays, once a fortnight (12.30pm – 2.30pm) and we are looking for friendly and enthusiastic people to join our team of volunteers!!
Volunteers can choose to be involved in providing transport, practical tasks (washing up, etc), or hosting tables / socialising.

We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic and caring volunteers who can help us at the Living Well Cafés we have at Newhills Church, Bucksburn AB21 9SS, Oldmachar Church, Bridge of Don AB22 8PR, High Church Hilton, Aberdeen AB24 4NQ and Ferryhill Parish Church, Aberdeen AB11 6UD. You will receive ongoing training and support including Dementia Friends Sessions, working in partnership with Alzheimer's Scotland and NHS Grampian to help you understand what dementia is and how it may affect people. This is a great opportunity to help make a real difference and all assistance is greatly appreciated. Rubislaw Park Care Home for older people provides a level of care and support to ensure residents maintain their independence and individuality.
We have a group of older residents who love to cook. By cook we mean mix, fluff, roll, spread, knead, reminisce, socialize over food. Do the things they used to do when they were younger. We are looking for volunteers to assist with this.
All materials will be provided so if you have a passion for food, cooking, baking, cake decorating or just helping out you will be made very welcome to share your skills and helping residents fulfil their potential.
