Hospices of Hope is the leading palliative care charity in South Eastern Europe. We think everyone deserves the best possible care at the end of life but in countries like Romania, Serbia and Moldova, many people still die in pain without physical, spiritual or emotional comfort.

Working in local charity shop. Variety of tasks to do including sorting through donations of clothing, toys, bric a brac, shoes and electronics. Keeping the rail/shelves tidy and clean and well stocked. Selling to customers at the desk. Occasionally help with hoovering and general cleaning. We would like to work with your strengths.
Playing an active role in club activities including discussing, planning and taking part in fundraising events, allocation of funds and social occasions.
Main duties include assisting at fundraising events, attending monthly club meetings and various social activities.
British Red Cross charity shops sell second-hand designer and vintage clothes, plus gifts, books, furniture and more, with all profits going towards the organisation's work both overseas and in the UK.
Volunteers are needed to assist with various retail duties, including:
- cashiering
- greeting and helping customers
- sorting new donations
- displaying merchandise
- general tidying and cleaning of the shop
- getting the items ready for re-sale e.g. ironing, pricing
The shop is open Monday to Saturday. You can choose to volunteer on a regular, weekly basis, or add your name to the list for short-term/emergency cover.The volunteer will continually deal with members of the public. Therefore gaining experience in dealing with people and handling money while helping to raise funds for this worthwhile cause.
A range of volunteering opportunities available including:
- staffing the front desk
- showing people around our Discovery Centre
- maintaining the display tanks
- DIY & maintenance of grounds
- campaigning
Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity are back in Braehead this Christmas and this year is going to be the best yet! Our pop up shop with a variety of gifts & GCHC merchandise will return along with our gift wrapping service and we’ll also be collecting whilst our fantastic choirs perform. Come join in the fun and get into the festive spirit!
Our Braehead Christmas activity will run from the 24th of November all the way through to the 24th of December and we have afternoon (12pm to 4pm) and evening (4pm to 8pm) shifts available.
This is a great opportunity for anyone that enjoys interacting with the public and would like to have a direct impact by helping to raise vital funds that support our young patients, their families and our NHS heroes at the hospital.

Our shops are vital in helping us raise the funds needed to provide services such as community support services, specialist nurses, advice and information, education, and peer support.
Join our fabulous team of Retail volunteers and learn new skills, make great friends, and make a real difference to people in Scotland who are isolated, scared, or anxious about their condition.
Our Retail Volunteers fight back against loneliness, stop fear in its tracks and keep people alive for longer – all while having fun at the same time!
We are looking for someone who enjoys engaging with their local community to help our retail team by securing stock donations from shops, local businesses, and community venues.
