We need Board members who are able to attend four Board meetings per year, plus the AGM. They will also need to respond to emails periodically throughout the year when decisions need to be made in between meetings. There are also opportunities to join sub committees (Communications or Audit and Risk), should you be interested in either of those specific areas of work.
D&G Care Trust provides supported real life work placements to adults 16+ with additional support needs. We do this through our gardening in the community and woodwork projects. We welcome board members from all backgrounds relevant to our role and responsibilities, including mental health, lived experience of mental health, social care, health, finance, business, human resources, quality assurance and audit, health and safety, technology. However, we would be delighted to hear from anyone who feels their skills or experience could be an asset to us. You will be required to attend regular Board meetings and the Annual General Meeting. Annandale Community Transport operate 4 cars and 4 mini buses to provide transport to residents to hospital appointments both with in the the region and further afield. Board Directors are responsible for the running of the organisation and ensuring that ACTS is properly managed and provides the service it was set up to deliver.
The trust are looking to recruit a trustee to join the board. The trust would particularly welcome a new trustee with a legal background. The Robert Burns Ellisland Trust, a new trust formed in 2020 manages the house and farm as a museum and is supported by volunteers.

The Robert Burns Ellisland Trust (SCIO: 049973) is looking for a Treasurer to join its board of trustees. Whilst this is a voluntary position, it offers an exciting opportunity to help conserve and develop one of the most important sites in the life of Robert Burns. The Treasurer will strengthen the capacity of the current board, whose members include leading academics, artists and museum professionals in developing Ellisland, recently judged the most authentic Burns site in Scotland. Duties including working with the chair and business development manager on financial reporting, planning and policies using the xero system.
