Ability Net's network of volunteers provide free tech support to enable older and disabled people to make full use of their home technology. They are seeking volunteers in Moray to join their IT Can Help network to support people with their IT or computer needs. This role involves contacting and supporting clients, feeding back on progress, and supporting the local Co-ordinator with promoting the IT Can Help service in the local area. Volunteers will take all necessary precautions to ensure that both volunteer and client stay as safe as possible, and volunteers and clients will wear face coverings and social distance where possible.
If you like to help others, have good IT and computing skills, knowledge of standard operating systems and software and the ability to communicate well, please consider volunteering with our growing in Moray! Roles are flexible and can fit around your schedule, too.
Touchdown Memorial Home for Horses is a charity that provides rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming for horses and ponies in need. We welcome volunteers at all levels in our work from trustees to admin, from fundraising and compliance to 'on the ground' opportunities such as yard work, field work, animal care, rehabilitation, education, work with young and older people. This is a great way to make new friends two and four legged, learn new skills and have fun in the open air in beautiful countryside.
For a man/woman role that includes assisting with the day-to-day admin duties for this organisation plus helping with more specialised work for funding applications and reporting and ensuring that all relevant forms are available to the membership.
This would allow the committee to promote and grow the organization more.
“A digital world accessible to all”
Award winning IT charity AbilityNet is looking for IT Support volunteers to help people get the most out of technology. We support older and disabled people to use technology, from setting up a new device, to showing how to use zoom or do an internet food shop.
The role would take place in your local area, face to face with clients or help over Teamviewer. You don’t need to be a tech guru to help out. If you use a computer at home or work, and perhaps support family and friends with their tech issues, you are likely to have the skills we are looking for. Relevant guidance and excellent support is provided to all volunteers.
A fantastic opportunity to help and make a real difference for people. All volunteer assistance is greatly appreciated.

As the requirement to be able to use technology increases, many individuals find themselves excluded from the opportunities available as a result of their lack of digital awareness. In order to address this inequality I am looking for digital awareness volunteers, who you would be required to attend local sessions throughout the city showing members of the public how to use and get the best from their own digital devices.
In addition to this, along with other volunteers and staff you would represent Adult Learning at various Digital Awareness events. These sessions and events would be on an ad hoc basis at times convenient to the volunteers.
Good training and support is provided to all volunteers.
A fantastic opportunity to help and make a difference with people and local communities in Aberdeen. All help is greatly appreciated.

We are a non-profit-making-volunteer run Arts Collective and charity providing a platform both online and offline for those who struggle with mental health, addiction, gender dysphoria, sexuality, feel like they don't quite 'fit', or feel estranged to this world.
We encourage people to express themselves through art as catharsis. Combining Art & Catharsis, we believe in being CathARTic! We believe the arts are a great elixir and creativity is our currency. Our ethos is based on 'pay it forward' exchanging the arts for positive and encouraging feedback from our team of art enthused volunteers and encouraging our members also to create a ripple effect.
The arts is an area where we are all free to express ourselves , be liberated in a way that we can't in our usual regimented , institutionalised world. It's a place where we don't have to colour within the lines, but we can go over the edges and...well...who knows where that might lead.... We see the arts as emancipation and an area where we can all be unified by transmitting and sharing expression, unified by love, the arts and expression.
We know that expressing ourselves through Creativity makes us all feel great and empowered! Fledgling Arts Collective Central believe that there are no 'amateurs' in the Arts & Creativity- WE ARE ALL ARTISTS ; and that the feel good ethos we encourage can really help with issues like building self esteem and helping to lift depression for instance.
We are currently recruiting new online support volunteers to support our vital work. Your role will include interacting with online members giving feedback on the creative arts posts they leave in a positive constructive way. Having a creative, positive and constructive approach will be required. Mentoring will be provided. Spread your wings and come fly with us.
