A Refurb Assistant at the Turing Trust will be taught all of the procedures we implement to restore a donated PC into a brand new elearning machine. The main tasks involved in the role include: computer repair, computer wiping, data management, PC installation, stock management and a variety of others. In this opportunity you will learn a huge amount about PC repair, maintenance and data management.
Hi, this is a great opportunity to use your IT and marketing skills. We currently use wordpress, facebook and mailchimp to advertise our stalls and work. We have a marketing strategy in place and we really need help delivering it. As an organisation, we don’t have the skills to take our IT and marketing strategy any further, so we would be looking for you to have a really hands on approach to taking it forward with guidance from current members in terms of material to use.
We are thinking you are currently a student on a digital marketing course looking for hands on experience or maybe you work, or have worked, in that field and have time to spare. The commitment would be a couple of hours a week throughout the year.
You will learn lots about allotments, growing food locally and cooking with seasonal, locally grown produce. We are a friendly bunch of people who are enthusiastic about encouraging people to eat more fruit and veg, to grow their own, to reduce food miles and to reduce food waste from allotment sites.

The Mission of Time to Heal is to provide holistic support and, to relieve the needs of persons affected by domestic violence primarily, but not exclusively, women and children from minority ethnic groups.
We are currently seeking volunteers to help at our Empowerment Centre in Bon Accord House, Riverside Drive, Aberdeen. Tasks include:
● See that the Reception area is kept tidy and looks professional at all times. ● Ensure procedures for signing in, identifying, escorting, and signing out are adhered to at all times. ● Welcome visitors in a pleasant, courteous manner ● Distribute incoming mails and deliveries to the appropriate personnel/function. ● Maintain the door entry system, ensuring there is an adequate supply of key fobs. ● Provide training on the duties and responsibilities of Reception to the appropriate personnel. ● Supervise the labelling of keys, ensuring they are stored in the Key Safe. ● Produce and maintain Operating Procedures for the Reception Rota. ● Answer calls in a timeous, courteous and effective manner.

To provide a timely, effective, free and impartial advice and assistance on a one-off or short-term basis, to disabled or older people to resolve their computer related issues in their home and/or remotely.
Evaluate client issues which could involve:
Advising on hardware and software, including upgrades to existing hardware and software.
Identifying and installing suitable equipment and upgrades.
Identifying and resolving a range of technical problems relating to hardware or software.
Installing new software packages.
Getting clients started with new equipment, software packages, the internet, email, FaceBook or other packages.
Resolve client issues in accordance with the AbilityNet ITCanHelp Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
Contact client to arrange appointment
Feedback on visit to County Coordinator (CC) with resolution or next steps
Contact client after original visit to confirm follow up appointment if necessary
Highlight to the CC immediately any issues that may present a risk to service delivery or reputation
Provide ad-hoc support to CC with promoting the AbilityNet ITCanHelp service in the local area
Provide ad-hoc support to CC with recruiting for AbilityNet ITCanHelp volunteers in the local area
Attend ad-hoc team meetings and wider company events or meetings
Support/buddy other volunteers as necessary
Adhere to all AbilityNet policies as set out in the Induction pack
Note: if there is no CC in the County then the Free Services Admin team take on this role.
We use our website to help the charity to promote our cause and show the various things we do to raise funds, it also shows the stories of the dogs and cats at the shelter which currently stands at 400 dogs and 100 cats.
All monies raised by Friends of Bianca go to fund food, veterinary help and anything else required by the shelter by attending fetes, holding a charity shop once a year, being godparent to one of the dogs or cats at the shelter.
We are looking for someone with website experience to update on a monthly basis at anytime convenient to yourself.
You can work from your own computer and this is a very worthwhile voluntary position to help these badly neglected animals.
