The Archie Foundation exists to make the difference for children and their families accessing local NHS healthcare and in bereavement. By working with our NHS colleagues, child development and childcare professionals, Archie provides a lifeline of support for local children and their families.
Whatever age you are, and whatever your background is, if you have an interest in supporting the work that we do we would love to hear from you! There are many activities that volunteers can help us with, here are just a few examples:
• Place and gather back in our collection cans – lots of pennies soon mount up and make a huge difference.
• Administrative support in our donor care office – writing thank you letters and cards to let our donors know how appreciated they are.
• Volunteering at events, both on the day and to help us plan for their success.
• Delivering leaflets and putting up posters on community noticeboards.
• Staffing a stall at a local market or community centre to help spread the word about the work we do.
• Speaking on behalf of the charity at community events.

Aberdeen Multicultural Centre (AMC) is an outcome driven, user led charity, committed to making a positive impact on the lives of wider communities in Aberdeen. AMC has run Climate Change projects for the last five years aimed at awareness raising and changing behaviours in relation to home energy efficiency, active travel, food waste, recycling and home gardening amongst diverse communities in Aberdeen. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager Volunteer to join us on a voluntary basis.
*Key Responsibilities include:
• In cooperation with the Business Development Director develop a business development: funding, fundraising and corporate sponsorship strategy to identify priority areas of Drinklink’s operations.
• Ensure adherence to compliance and governance protocols relating to donations.
• Proactively identify fundraising opportunities to ensure cashflow pipeline is sufficient to sustain the ongoing viability of the charity.
• Work with the Business Development Team to support our business development activities to help ensure the growth of our work.
• Ensure engagement with all internal and external stakeholders.
The role involves working from home.
Previous experience in a similar role in a charitable/volunteer environment would be desirable.

Age Scotland is the national charity for older people. They work to improve the lives of everyone over the age of 50 so that they can love later life. They’re seeking volunteers aged 18 or over to organise events from coffee mornings to gala dinners and other events and activities in your local area, to raise vital funds for their work.
Raise the profile of Age Scotland in your local area; use existing local contacts, such as family and friends, and develop new contacts, to expand your group. Optional: Form a group of enthusiastic and motivated individuals with a passion for making a difference to the lives of older people to support with organising events.
You’ll also risk assess all events organised – training will be provided; collect funds in a non-obtrusive fashion specified within the guidelines provided to you by your Fundraiser. Occasional attendance and support may be required with ‘bucket shake or collections’ / stewarding at events and manage a stall, at specified events under the guidance of your Fundraiser.
Role Description
▪ Attending invited events, for example community/social group meetings, schools, and
cheque presentations to give presentations/talk about the work of Befrienders Highland
and the difference we are making, to inspire people to support us through fundraising, or
to thank supporters for the fundraising they have completed.
▪ Representing the charity in a professional manner.
▪ Making conversation with members of the public as appropriate and answering
questions about the charity.
▪ Promoting and facilitating planned fundraising initiatives and activities.
▪ Working with local businesses and recreational facilities to promote fundraising
opportunities and procure raffle prizes.
▪ Liaising with the Coordinators and Fundraising Coordinator from Befrienders Highland.
▪ Support social media and website posting, through provision of photographs, stories,
and giving notice of upcoming events/talks.

Time commitment
This is a flexible role to suit your availability, and as such there is no minimum time commitment.
Fundraising Volunteers will be contacted as appropriate and offered the opportunity to attend
events to which we are invited, or may choose to run events themselves to fundraise for the

Recruitment Process

We are looking for people who are passionate about ending child hunger and ensuring that every child receives a daily meal in a place of education.
We have a range of activities that can be done from the comfort of your home, while Covid-19 restrictions are in place. They include: hosting virtual talks, spreading the word about our work on social media or holding screenings of our inspiring videos with family and friends.
If you don't mind public speaking, we can also train you to visit schools, Rotary Clubs and other local organisations to give talks virtually and generate support for our cause.
Age Scotland collection can volunteers raise vital funds to support their work to tackle loneliness. Acting as the friendly face of Age Scotland, volunteers place collection cans around communities and collect cans once they’re full.
No experience is necessary, as all training will be provided but you must be over 18 years old for this role. They are looking for someone with good organisational and numeracy skills, that enjoys meeting new people and is passionate about ending loneliness in Scotland.
The volunteering commitment is flexible; you can do this whenever suits you.
