Searchlight Scotland is involved in managing more than 200 asylum seekers from around the world, currently residing at a facility in Aberdeen. We provide people with support and have a range of activities during the day.
We are recruiting volunteers to help us during the daytime mainly in running outdoor and sport activities.
Our volunteers help by:
• Creating and running different activities (sport, DIY, craft, walks around Aberdeen city, art lessons etc.).
• Drive clients to their appointments or to outdoor activities.

Inchgarth Community Centre provide a fantastic programme of activities for the community with the tremendous help of volunteers. Inchgarth has over 170 sessions of activity per week-serving every age group and section of the community.
We have a great opportunity for people to help as Volunteer Painters at the community centre. As a big and vibrant Community Centre, we offer a large range of activities for all ages and welcome a range of charities at the Community Centre. We rely on volunteers to help us in keeping the place nice, tidy and welcoming for the community. We are looking for people to undertake various painting jobs around the building. It can be a small job (painting a door), or a bigger job such as repainting an entire room.

The Allotment Market Stall provides good-quality, well-priced, locally grown fruit and vegetables and reduces waste. We have opportunities this season for volunteers to be a part of developing our nature friendly market garden. To join in with the cultivation of a nature friendly market garden (approx. 2 hours Friday lunchtime or Sunday afternoon throughout the year. We are flexible regarding how many shifts. It can be every week or just a one off according to your availability). Would suit someone who enjoys outdoors and nature and wants to be part of a community project promoting local food growing.
Main tasks involve:
• Help make and plant up our no dig beds.
• Sowing seeds and looking after them.
• Planting and tending fruit and veg.
• Garden maintenance and DIY.
Full training will be given. Volunteers will be accompanied and supported at all times.

I Bike is a really fun and rewarding project to volunteer with that offers plenty of opportunities to get outdoors for cycling-related activities, boost the CV, gain experience of work with children and young people, meet new people and learn new skills.
In Aberdeen, we're particularly looking for people who are interested in bike maintenance. Maybe you want to improve your existing skills, get some practice alongside others or put your expertise to good use! Training and support is provided for all levels.
I Bike is a schools programme which aims to help children and young people become more active through taking part in cycling and walking activities. You would be volunteering alongside a dedicated I Bike Officer in schools. Our maintenance sessions are called Dr Bike where we set up a workshop in the school grounds to fix children's bikes. But there are plenty of other activities we run for children such as learn to cycle, playground cycle skills, led bike rides, led walks and much more!

Fresh Community Wellness is a growing grassroots charity, registered Scottish Charity Number, SC051346. We operate out of Aberdeen city, working within a (S.I.M.D) high neighbourhood to create lasting change and build a legacy for the future. Predominantly in Seaton neighbourhoods and outdoors, we work with volunteers/residents, with a salutogenic approach to community wellness. Camphill School Aberdeen has exciting new volunteer opportunities to help. As a volunteer you will become part of a team within one of our 10 residential Care homes, set in beautiful surroundings 5 miles outside of Aberdeen City centre and close to the Deeside Railway line. We are currently seeking people to volunteer as:
> Voluntary Coworkers within Residential School and Care Homes: Our pupils age from 12-25 years old and as part of your position, you will be with them when they attend the school, farm and gardens, workshops or even riding stables as part of their personalised daily routines and assist them with their tasks throughout the day.
> Voluntary Farm and Gardens Volunteers: Our farm cares for cows, pigs, goats, hens and alpacas. As part of your position, you will be with our pupils when they attend the farm and gardens as part of their personalised daily routines and assist them with their tasks.
> Voluntary Workshop Assistants: You will be with our pupils when they attend the various workshops (woodwork, metal, weavery, felt, candle, pottery, bike and Fruver- our food workshop)as part of their personalised daily routines and assist them with their tasks.
These opportunities do not require you to have previous experience, we just ask that you are caring, patient and willing to help our pupils, have an interest in people and different ways of communications.

*Volunteers are key to the success of SensationALL! *Do you have an hour or more to spare and want to make a difference in a fun and friendly environment?
SensationALL run sensory based therapy groups and services for children and adults with multiple support needs. We need volunteers to assist our team in delivering engaging and rewarding sessions for all our service users. You would be involved in activities such as crafts, baking, games and music as well as helping with the set-up, making refreshments and tidying up. Our children’s groups include access to our soft play area so they can experience free play in safe and comfortable surroundings as well as structured messy play, sensory story-time or craft activities.
Individuals interested in gaining experience working with people who have sensory and learning disabilities and autism will particularly benefit from volunteering with us however no previous experience is required.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

Garthdee Field Allotments Association is a community of allotment holders. You will find us at the junction of Garthdee Road and Pitfodells Station Road. We have over 100 plots on the site, in 3 sizes – full, half and micro. Plotters are members of our association and together we seek to:
-To encourage the use of green and sustainable gardening methods;
-To share good practice and gardening expertise;
-To spread the benefits of plot working and green gardening into the wider community.
We are looking for volunteers to help with our activities on our individual plots, on the Primary School Plot we host, on our raised beds, in the Community Orchard and across the site generally.
