If so, we are looking for Volunteer Sighted Guides to give a couple of hours a week or fortnight to support the RNIB Health Walk Group. These are gentle walks for all abilities, including the Blind and Partially Sighted community. Walks are in small groups to allow people to feel confident and make friends. • Offering a friendly welcome at the start of the walk
• Being a sighted guide to help individuals take part and feel safe on the walks; this includes offering a guiding arm, looking out for obstacles along the path and supporting safe crossing of roads
• Building good relations with members of the group
• Supporting the walk leader on the walk to keep walkers safe and happy during the walk
The walks take place in Musselburgh and Haddington on Thursday mornings and volunteers are ideally needed from 10.15am-12.30pm, either weekly or fortnightly.

As part of our role in making more children, more active, more often, we are seeking volunteers to help set up and run a variety of activities.
Our activities mostly take place outside curriculum time but can sometimes take place during the school day. Groups usually consist of around 10-20 children.
