We are looking for volunteers who could contribute to the children starting a fruit and vegetable garden to allow the children to learn how to plant, watch grow then produce soup, jams, etc for the community and possibly start a little garden shop enterprise.
We have ongoing projects involving painting, maintenance, building sheds, planting, and weeding developing areas within the school grounds.
We have a pond and the children enjoy getting involved with pond dipping to see what wildlife it attracts so additional volunteers would allow us to plan more days doing these things.
We are a small village school with a great group of children some of whom would benefit greatly from working and learning from adults out with the classroom.
Online STEM tutoring is a great option for anyone having a busy schedule or those who do not have money to procure the service of a private tutor. For our online STEM project, tutors work remotely and provide support for pupils in English language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology via google classroom.
Helping pupils to increase strength on weak subject areas, progress evaluation and feedback.
Revise past examination papers to prepare learners.
This opportunity is part of (No More Tears No More Isolation) Project, Where Linknet Mentoring targets to help adult
people from ethnic minority, immigrants, and refugees to overcome isolation, Loneliness, Lack of confidence and to
develop their English language skills.
Meeting your befriendee 1-2 hours once a week, makes a big difference in that person’s live, where they can feel at
home in Scotland and facilitate their involvement in the society and developing their skills.
In return, it is a self-rewarding opportunity, and can aid those who wants to build in their CV in social work, teaching,
psychology, etc.
It is flexible as it can be conducted online/face-to-face, and someone can accommodate it to their schedule.
ANGUSalive has a large junior coach programme, delivering gymnastics, trampoline, multi sports, basketball, climbing and netball. You will work alongside a qualified coach.
There is a varied programme across the 7 ANGUSalive centres, we operate Monday to Friday after school and weekends, the programme varies from town to town.
• Gymnastics are delivered in Arbroath, Carnoustie, Kirriemuir and Montrose
• Trampoline is delivered in Arbroath and Carnoustie
• Multi Sports are delivered in Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie and Forfar
• Basketball is delivered in Carnoustie and Forfar
• Climbing is delivered in Brechin
• Netball is delivered in Forfar and Montrose

ANGUSalive’s BE ACTIVE…Live Well (BALW) programme provides suitable, agreed exercises or physical activity sessions that support people to manage their own physical and mental health conditions along with a focus on prevention and recovery.
You will work alongside the Health & Wellbeing Co-ordinator, Health & Wellbeing Advisors, specialist exercise instructors, health walk leaders and local stakeholders including Health Care Professionals (HCP).
Suggested activities:
• Provide support for the Health & Wellbeing Advisors, specialist exercise instructors and HCPs during physical activity sessions e.g., circuit classes, seated exercise, strength & balance, gym sessions, aqua aerobics, and health walks
• Provide meaningful interaction with class participants encouraging and enabling them to do the exercises prescribed to them in a safe manner
• Help participants with equipment as required e.g., setting up weight machines in the gym
• Engage with participants following sessions where tea/coffee is provided (where applicable)

Volunteers would attend our Language Café which is open to anyone who wishes to improve their English. Volunteers will take part in group language activities and talk with participants to provide practice in speaking English.
Sessions are held in Inverurie Library, Market Place, Inverurie
