Angus Special Playscheme provides holiday playschemes for children and young people aged 5-18 years with additional support needs living in Angus. Our volunteers play a valued role in the work of the organisation. Our main opportunity is as a Playscheme Volunteer which can be summed up as "supporting the children who attend our schemes to ensure they are safe and enjoy their time there",
Duties are varied but may include:
• To ensure the children you are matched with are safe.
• To complete at the end of the day a ‘my day sheet’ with the guidance of the Playleader as necessary for each child you were matched with that day.
• To report to the Playleader/Depute Playleader any issues with the children or any negative behaviours.
• To ensure first aid treatment is sought as needed for the children you are matched with.
• To work in accordance with the National Care Standards, Early Education and Childcare up to the age of 16
• Encourage and support individual children to participate in the planned programme of activities
• Assist the Playleader in being responsible for and ensuring that adequate precautions are taken to safeguard children and minimise risks
• Develop a stable friendly and trusting relationship with the children
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene are maintained by yourself and the children at all times
• Ensure all aspects of play promote equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practices
• Work as part of a team
The Playschemes run during the Easter, Summer and Autumn holidays but there may be opportunities to volunteer outside of these times and within different roles.

Play Alloa are looking for Directors who will passionately inform their services by bringing new skills and experience to help lead the organisation.

- Funding/Fundraising
- Publicity/Marketing and Digital Innovation
- Strategic Planning
Play Alloa are looking for people who share their values; that are passionate and committed about supporting children, young people and adults with disabilities and additional support needs; who can be creative in building the charity's profile; and work closely with their team of stakeholders to deliver outstanding person-centred services to our beneficiaries.
The Board usually meets quarterly (either in-person or via Zoom).

RDA has been in existence for about 30 years. They provide fun activities with horses and ponies for children with autism, andphysical and learning disabilities. This could be through riding and/pr horse care. The benefits are both physical and confidence improving for our participants.
The position would require 2-4 hours per week in the secretary's home. He/she would produce agendas, write minutes and attend meetings every 4-6 weeks. Such meetings are held online or in Clackmannanshire.
The secretary would also be required to answer emails and answer any enquiries from the riders. They will also be keeping RDA's policies and procedures up to date, including their data protection policy.
Timings for ongoing training are flexible
n this role you will be helping and supporting the Group coordinator within our fundraising groups to organise events and secure new opportunities for fundraising by;
· Supporting in organising and attending events and collections in your local area, such as Great Guide Dogs Tea Party. Informing your key contact and relevant members of these events.
· Supporting in building relationships with local networks, organisations, schools, and social groups to host events or to name their own puppy.
· Delegating tasks and responsibilities to other volunteers within your fundraising group in the absence of the Fundraising Group Coordinator.
· Supporting in making sure fundraising policies and procedures are followed; including all roles are maintaining their required records.

We need someone to be the face of Guide Dogs in the local community and lead a fundraising group in your area. In this lead volunteer role, you will be the key contact for fundraising in your local community to raise money from a variety of activities such as collections, social events and tea parties.

What you will be doing - Building relationships and coordinating a group of fundraising volunteers to raise funds and being the key contact in a local area.
Organising events.
Delegating tasks and responsibilities to other volunteers within the fundraising group and making sure fundraising policies and procedures are followed; including all other volunteer roles are maintaining their required records.

We provide full training in the role as well as an induction to the organization. You will receive ongoing support from a designated member of staff.
The Service Team Volunteer role is a varied role that will support VoiceAbility in the delivery of Social Security Scotland Benefits Advocacy and more. Our volunteers will help our clients to access benefits by supporting individuals with complex needs who self-disclose as having a disability. Another key part of the role is networking, in person and online, to promote the service. You will also have the opportunity to help VoiceAbility engage with local communities through supporting our school work experience programme as well as our ‘Speak Out Councils’.
In your day-to-day role you will be:
• Helping clients understand about advocacy
• Supporting clients with our self-advocacy toolkit
• Supporting advocates with home visits
• Keeping detailed notes and records with casework and non-casework
• Signposting clients to other services
• Building professional relationships and networking
• Promoting our services and organisation
• Supporting our community engagement programmes in your local area
All staff work from home, and we have no office base. The role is a hybrid role where you could be at home or out in the local area.

• Maintaining records of where Guide Dogs Counter Top Boxes and life sized dogs are placed locally - working with your Group’s Collecting Box Co-Ordinator(s) and submitting the list by December 31st of each year to the Community Fundraiser

We are looking for volunteer drivers to help us transport:
- adults to day care
- children to school
- people to their GP or hospital appointment
- people with learning disabilities to college.

Scotland Versus Arthritis is looking for individuals willing to lead short health walks in your area, lead on other physical activities, or facilitate virtual support groups. Full training and on-going support for volunteers will be available.
We are also looking for expressions of interest from anyone keen to become an instructor of Tai Chi or Qi Gong for arthritis.
The current Covid restrictions have meant that for many the wait for treatment may be a year or more away.
Painkilling prescriptions are seldom more than a temporary relief. Support and exercise can however offer a better way to self manage the daily on-going pain and fatigue.
In readiness for the eventual lifting of lockdown we are asking, can you spare an hour or two each month to help?
