Wishaw YMCA is looking for volunteers to coordinate our fundraising activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and shape our fundraising opportunities which will make a difference to lives within our local community.
The fundraising coordinator roles are important roles for Wishaw YMCA support and will be responsible for coordinating all of our fundraising activities and events ensuring that the fundraising policies and procedures are followed. You’ll also play a key role in building relationships with local businesses and community groups. Volunteers would be expected to commit to a minimum of 3-4 hours per fortnight for at least 12 months. Key responsibilities will include -Organising and attending fundraising activities and events. Building relationships with local networks, socials groups, schools and businesses to encourage them work with the Wishaw YMCA to support events. Research relevant funding that meet our funding requirements and manage the application process. This role would be ideal for someone who is highly organised, likes working as part of a team and has good communication skills. In addition you would have to be confident talking to new people to help spread the word about Wishaw YMCA! This would be a great role to gain valuable experience in project management and networking within the local community for your CV.

The goals of the project are to reopen our original premises which is a beautiful historic building at 145 Main St Wishaw which is currently closed to the public. We are working towards funding to transform that facility into a flexible community space that would cater for community groups. Our vision is to restore the building to be operated as a community social enterprise that utilises the space as a wedding venue, concert hall, cinema and conference facility which will support reinvestment in the community as Non-Profit to provide program delivery that are core to YMCA principles. This is a long term capital project where we have already taken important steps towards our goal. Our new project office will enable us to be accessible to the local community and act as a base to support community engagement and to conduct public consultation in relation to the regeneration of our original premises.

Halloween team is looking for digital media and photography volunteers to capture and showcase live performances and visitor experience at the Paisley Halloween Festival.
Halloween Digital Media and Photography Volunteer brief:
The Digital Media ,Photography Volunteer will be expected to have a creative approach to capture high-definition images at the event.
The Digital Media , Photography Volunteer will be expected to liaison with the Council Events Team and Events Volunteer Coordinator throughout; Images captured during the event will be reviewed and signed off by the Council’s Events Team.
This is a great opportunity for volunteers to build on their portfolio. Selected images might be presented to the public on various social media platforms and council channels.

Do you have green fingers, do you enjoy making green spaces neat and tidy. You would be required to cut grass and weed borders, help plant out seasonal plants and sweeping up of leaves and rubbish. We are a children and young people?s project based in East Edinburgh.
