At Aberlour Options we run regular day trips, activities and adventures during the school holidays and at weekends. We are looking for inspirational and motivational volunteers with a sense of adventure and an interest in sports, fun, outdoors and wellbeing to help improve the outcomes and the health and social wellbeing of our young people.
Aberlour Options Aberdeen supports children who have complex physical, learning, sensory and emotional needs and autistic spectrum disorders. We can provide a range of services including support at home, in the community, overnight stays, adventure breaks and outreach services. The service also provides community based education support through our inclusion service.

*Volunteers are key to the success of SensationALL! *Do you have an hour or more to spare and want to make a difference in a fun and friendly environment?
SensationALL run sensory based therapy groups and services for children and adults with multiple support needs. We need volunteers to assist our team in delivering engaging and rewarding sessions for all our service users. You would be involved in activities such as crafts, baking, games and music as well as helping with the set-up, making refreshments and tidying up. Our children’s groups include access to our soft play area so they can experience free play in safe and comfortable surroundings as well as structured messy play, sensory story-time or craft activities.
Individuals interested in gaining experience working with people who have sensory and learning disabilities and autism will particularly benefit from volunteering with us however no previous experience is required.
Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
We also require volunteers to help with:

*IT/admin tasks
*Maintenance/equipment cleaning
*Trustee Board Members
Good support and relevant training is provided to all volunteers. Every volunteer is given an induction prior to starting. Once actively volunteering with us we will extend the opportunity to attend any in-house training such as first aid, introduction to Autism, Makaton amongst others.

Charlie House will be running a café in the city’s Bon Accord Centre with 100% of profits supporting babies, children and young people with complex disabilities and life-limiting conditions, and their families, across the North-east of Scotland. The café will be open seven days a week providing sit-in and take-away hot/cold drinks, soup, cakes and sandwiches.
Our ReCHarge café volunteers will be a key part of the team, helping to give customers a welcoming and positive café experience.
Volunteer activities will include helping to:
>meet and greet customers
>keep the café and servery areas clean and tidy
>prepare food/drinks
>take payments
>replenish stock.
Volunteers will also be trained and encouraged to promote Charlie House events and activities to potential families, volunteers, supporters and members of the public.

The 70/30 Campaign is aiming to reduce child abuse and neglect by 70% by 2030. As a 70/30 Ambassador you will be empowering your local community to protect our children by spreading awareness and gaining support to prevent child abuse and neglect from happening in the first place. You will gain new skills, and be part of a large network of volunteers and professionals, while making a real difference in your local community and across the UK.
The role is very flexible and depends on your skills and on the needs in your local area, but you can take part in a range of activities, such as: spreading awareness with people you know and on social media; fundraising; organising events; engaging with MPs, MSPs, AMs and councillors; engaging with local press; expanding your local 70/30 group.
Ambassadors will take part in a training session with a member of the team and are invited to join the monthly national conference call with other ambassadors across the country. Ambassadors usually give 2 or more hours of their time a week, but get in touch if you are interested and don't have much time available as there is always some way you can help!

Reachout with Arts in Mind is a member-led Expressive Arts organisation based in Alloa. They have over 25 years’ experience working with, listening, and responding to people experiencing mental ill health, reaching those most disadvantaged who have been excluded from mainstream services.
They are unique within Forth Valley and known locally, nationally and internationally as a model of good practice, receiving awards for artistic collaboration and learning. Reachout with Arts in Mind are looking for skilled, motivated individuals to join their board of trustees, leading their organisation forward by ensuring they have a clear strategy, and are working toward their goals.

Current opportunities include administration, fund raising and hands on activities with young people.
We currently offer a wide array of activities, including cooking (Food Punks), music (we have an in-house recording studio), bike recycling and maintenance workshop (Bike Punks), trips away, residential, casual drop-in sessions and many more including a new textile project about to start. We’re looking for volunteers that are happy to share their skills with us and the young people we seek to serve.

Children are identified by teachers in P6 as at risk of disengaging in school through low self-esteem/confidence. A programme of 8 weeks run during school time, leaders paired with child to do a project. They then go on to 1:1 mentor through the remainder of primary school and into high school. Volunteer maintains contact with family. Co-ordinator builds picture from school to identify specific areas of concern.
