We support groups who are utilising sport to bring about real social difference throughout the UK so you’ll be paired with a group that are doing really inspiring work. These groups are doing incredible work but require some guidance around fundraising in order to make them more sustainable and increase their capacity.

Volunteers are required to do four duties per month, one of which will be an overnight duty. They listen to those who contact Samaritans, either on the telephone, by email or by visit. However, as volunteers run the branch, many take on extra work. Samaritans work is strictly voluntary.
Sound financial controls and management play a critical role in good governance at the museum and we are looking for individuals to become an integral part in helping the museum achieve this You will work closely with the treasurer and finance committee to help ensure the smooth financial running of the museum. You will assist in the inputting of invoices, credit notes etc into the SAGE accounting software. You maybe asked to get involved in the everyday financial operation of the museum reviewing such things as banking, till receipts, gift aid and general duties associated with running a successful charity operation. This is a great opportunity to learn new skills or rebuild existing ones the Dundee Museum of Transport is a small charity that has big ambitions. During CoVid restrictions it should be possible for the candidate to work remotely from home where necessary.
Being a Young Lives vs Cancer Speaker means being the face of the charity. You will become known for your effective, informative and interesting presentations on our work. This is a flexible role, and will largely involve presenting at evenings and weekends, or as and when a group requires a talk.
The role is a proactive one, with a focus on developing relationships with new supporters, and can include - Promoting the work of Young Lives vs Cancer by organising and giving talks and presentations; Proactively approaching local companies, groups and organisations in order to organise speaking opportunities; Collecting cheques from community groups, businesses and organisations – saying thank you and giving a talk on behalf of Young Lives vs Cancer.
Experience of public speaking is desirable but not essential

This year, we are launching our first Volunteer Fundraising Group in Edinburgh and the Lothians and are looking for new members to join. Volunteer Fundraising Groups are made up of people who can organise events and activities to raise money for Ronald McDonald House Charities in their own community. They will act as local representatives for the charity and help to raise awareness of the work we do.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted our income, but we continue to support families so that they can be near their poorly child’s bedside at 12 hospitals across the UK. We need volunteers to support Ronald McDonald House Charities now more than ever.
What will I do?
As a Volunteer Fundraising Group Member, your activities could include:
• Organising and publicising fundraising events
• Organising bucket collections
• Placing collection tins in local businesses and periodically collecting the money raised
• Collecting fundraised income from supporters in the local community
About you
This volunteering opportunity would suit someone who enjoys organising events and working as part of a team. You would not need any specific skills but a passion for the work that we do and an interest in supporting a charity in your local community would be beneficial.
We ask that you give at least a few hours of your time every month and act as a reputable ambassador of the charity at all times.

Bazooka Arts is a charity that specialises in therapeutic arts interventions for people of all ages and abilities who are adversely affected by inequalities such as: mental ill health; disabilities; long term conditions; poverty; unpaid caring responsibilities and addictions.
Our support programmes are delivered by a team of therapeutic arts specialists and HCPC registered Arts Therapists who work with a person-centred approach, ensuring each participant receives the appropriate level of support according to individual need. All of our projects work with the key aim of supporting participants to improve their mental health and wellbeing, and make lasting improvements to their overall quality of life.
We work in a range of health, education and community settings providing vibrant, inclusive participatory arts projects and art therapies which offer opportunities for skill development in a broad range of art forms including visual art, drama, dance, movement and film.
Bazooka Arts are looking for volunteers to help with the following:
-Facilitation Support - providing assistance at Therapeutic Arts and Drama groups.
-Fundraising Support
-Support for community engagement events
-Marketing and social media support.
We work closely with volunteers to create volunteering roles which suit the needs and aspirations of each individual.
