We are looking for volunteers to help support our young people work towards and achieve a number of awards including Duke of Edinburgh, Heritage Hero, NNAS to name a few.
You will work alongside our staff to offer a range of different opportunities for the young people on our programmes many of whom have additional support needs.
We are looking for individuals who have good communication skills, patience, empathy and are looking for a rewarding opportunity to support young people who have not had the opportunity to achieve in the past.
To help assist young people to undertake their Expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. Most of our young people have additional support needs and require some extra support to ensure that they can complete the walks that have been planned. You will be part of a team that helps them achieve their Expedition. This is a rewarding opportunity to get to befriend and mentor young people that require that little bit of extra help to achieve.
We are looking for individuals who are supportive and engaging to help transport our young people to and from sessions throughout Perth and Kinross. A lot of our young people have additional support needs and require structure and consistency in their programmes.
The driver will be responsible for picking up the young person or small groups and transporting to the meeting point for their sessions, then picking up and returning to their home address.
You will meet the young people you will be transporting in advance along with their development worker so that they get to know you in advance.
Travel Expenses will be paid for use of own vehicle.
We are looking for people who enjoy walking to support our young people to do day walks to help them complete their Duke of Edinburgh Award. The routes will be planned in advance and all the young people will have completed the relevant training required for their level of the award.
The Day Walk Volunteer will support each individual as required and monitor their progress throughout the walk.

Dunfermline based Talk Matters offers counselling/ psychotherapy for up to 50 clients per week and placement opportunities for those training in the field.
Talk Matters is seeking volunteer trustees to join its board. Trustees contribute to the realisation of Talk Matters’ goal of relieving people in need of psychological support by the provision of a financially accessible, professional counselling service.
The board is fully responsible for the governance and fiscal probity of the charity. Ten monthly meetings are held with an annual general meeting in November. Presently, the board comprises five trustees. The charity is held in high standing and trustees are rightly protective of its reputation.
There is an opportunity for you to use your skills in the areas of HR/IT/Finance or Law whilst other skills in administration and fundraising would be most welcome. It is not necessary that you have work/volunteering experience within the psychological therapy sector.
Offering 1:1 befriending support to adults (16+) and older people in Fife who feel isolated, lonely or disconnected, perhaps as a result of disability, ill health or other circumstances. Making a valuable difference to someone’s life by undertaking a social role such as chatting with someone on the phone, going out for coffee, taking a walk together, finding a hobby or joining a local group. Befrienders help people build their confidence, connect more with their communities and meet new people.
Would you like to use your skills and broaden your experience while making a difference to people living with chest, heart, and stroke conditions across Scotland? We are looking for volunteers to support the running of one of our 100+ Peer Groups in Scotland. The groups are filled with laughter, activities, social interaction, and cups of tea.
Contact Stroke Club, based in Fraserburgh, is looking for someone to take on the day-to-day running of the group. CSC is a small social group who meet every two weeks for an hour and a half. Their membership is open to anyone who has had a stroke or is living with a long-term health condition. The group is presently looking for a new venue to allow them to resume their meetings.
Tasks for this volunteering opportunity include acting as main point of contact for CHSS, organising and taking part in group meetings, and promoting the group. This is an important role that will help stroke survivors to connect with people who have had similar experiences.
