DEBRA is a national charity and patient support organisation for people living with the rare, extremely painful, genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) also known as ‘Butterfly Skin’. EB causes the skin to become very fragile and tear or blister at the slightest touch. With your help we can find treatments and cure(s) for EB. Volunteering in a DEBRA shop can teach you new skills as well as meeting new people and gaining experience in retail. The role involves: - Operating a till to take cash and card payments - Engaging with customers on the shop floor - Replenishing stock on the shop floor - Recording donor details for gift aid - Creating eye catching displays

Role Action Against Stalking is seeking a committed and passionate trustee to join our small but mighty team. We are looking for an experienced individual with accountancy and charity treasury skills who can support our CEO and fellow trustees by providing strong financial oversight, sound judgement, and strategic input. This is an important governance role with a commitment of around five hours per month, including quarterly board meetings. The successful candidate will help strengthen the charity’s financial stewardship, contribute to effective governance, and support the long-term sustainability of our work. About Action Against Stalking Action Against Stalking is a specialist charity that provides person-centred support to victims of stalking while also working to raise awareness, influence change, and improve understanding of stalking across Scotland. Around 70% of our work is funded through the Scottish Government’s Victim-Centred Approach Fund (VCAF), with other major donors also playing an important role in sustaining and developing our services. Our annual report showcases the impact of our small but mighty team and the breadth of our work across education, prevention, campaigning, and direct victim support. Together, these activities help us champion the rights of victims and strengthen responses to stalking in communities, services, and systems. Volunteers are the life and blood of Foodbanks, your qualities could be just what they need. As the demand for support continues to rise, Glenrothes Foodbank are looking for Van Drivers on a Monday from 8:30am -10am and 11.30am - 3pm, Wednesday 11.30am - 5pm and a Friday between 8.30am - 10am and 11.30am-3pm. The Foodbank have their own van and the volunteers would use this to deliver food parcels and pick up donations from community centres, supermarkets, schools etc all around Glenrothes. Drivers should be aged at least 25 (due to insurance), be able to lift and move multiple boxes of donations and have a friendly and respectful manner with people receiving a service or making donations. You will usually be volunteering with a helper, sometimes alone, after an initial period of training and support with another volunteer/staff member.

Volunteers are matched up on a one-to-one basis with a vulnerable adult. The matches meet regularly either weekly or fortnightly for a few hours at a time. The aim is to engage in purposeful activities within the community which will help to reduce social isolation and feelings of loneliness. It is also about continuing to support the adult to engage in their own community and have positive social connections.
