Volunteers are the life and blood of Foodbanks, your qualities could be just what they need.
As the demand for support continues to rise, Glenrothes Foodbank are looking for Van Drivers on a Monday from 8:30am -10am and 11.30am - 3pm, Wednesday 11.30am - 5pm and a Friday between 8.30am - 10am and 11.30am-3pm.
The Foodbank have their own van and the volunteers would use this to deliver food parcels and pick up donations from community centres, supermarkets, schools etc all around Glenrothes.
Drivers should be aged at least 25 (due to insurance), be able to lift and move multiple boxes of donations and have a friendly and respectful manner with people receiving a service or making donations. You will usually be volunteering with a helper, sometimes alone, after an initial period of training and support with another volunteer/staff member.

Experience required: Volunteers should have a clean driving license and be able to lift multiple boxes. You should also be willing to be part of a team and take part in training provided, as well as having a friendly and respectful manner to people receiving or donating to the service
Travel details: Based at the Saltire Centre, Glenrothes KY6 2AQ with travel throughout the wider Glenrothes area during the volunteering, in Foodbank vehicles.
