Do you enjoy meeting a wide range of people?
As a member of our Front of house volunteer team, you should feel comfortable meeting and chatting with a range of new people.
You would be the first person our visitors meet. You will help provide a friendly welcoming atmosphere, helping our visitors feel comfortable in our surroundings, introduce them to other guests and make sure their visit to us leaves them feeling positive. Specific tasks will include welcoming visitors to the office, linking them with the relevant meeting or staff member, offering refreshments, and making general conversation to help put people at ease.
You will also help with some admin tasks, answer the telephones, direct calls, take messages and help ensure a welcoming reception area.
If you are new to an office setting, this may be a good way to get some experience and skills you take into to a new career.
WDCVS VISA employability scheme is where volunteers who are actively looking for work can brush up on the skills that employers are looking for, the VISA certificate highlights the skills that the volunteer has achieved in their volunteer role, the certificate can be created and sent to them as a PDF.
