Befriending can make a huge impact in the lives of people who are at risk of homelessness or moving into new settled accommodation. You can help an individual in Edinburgh reconnect back into the community by taking them out and introducing them to social groups and activities in their area.
Bethany Christian Trust is a national charity whose mission is to relieve the suffering and meet the long term needs of homeless and vulnerable people in Scotland. Experience required: We are looking for volunteers who:
Have integrity and are reliable.
Are sociable and have an approachable manner.
Have good time management and organisational skills.
Are able to operate under the guidance and support of Passing the Baton staff.
Are of Christian faith, rooted in a Christian community.
