Are you a good listener? Are you confident working with IT and using the internet? We need you to facilitate our weekly befriending telephone groups that offer blind and partially sighted people the opportunity to socialise with others. You will connect our groups together and contribute to groups to ensure that all participants feel comfortable and that group conversations run smoothly.
This is a telephone-based role that you can do from home. You will need access to a computer, an internet connection and good IT skills. We ask you to commit to facilitating 3 or more groups per week which will be at the same day and time each week. Groups run for an hour a week.
NIB, the Royal National Institute of Blind People, is the UK's leading sight loss charity. We offer practical and emotional support to blind and partially sighted people, their families and carers. We raise awareness of the experiences of blind and partially sighted people and campaign for change to make our society more accessible for all. We want to change our world so there are no barriers to people with sight loss.
