We are looking for volunteers to help at our various youth provisions. We have a youth art group that runs every Friday evening and we also have children and families cooking classes.
The volunteer role will involve working with our youth worker and project worker to deliver art groups, cooking groups or other groups as part of our youth provision. The role will include, setting up and tidying up before and after sessions, working with the young people on various projects, engaging with the young people to help them develop and to find out what they would like to do.To adhere to our safeguarding policy and follow all relelvant procedures.
Boomerang was set up in 1999 to provide a safe, comfortable and friendly centre in the heart of the community to stimulate community involvement and development with an aim to community regeneration. The project provides a user led centre assisting a variety of groups with varying interests to increase confidence, promote skills and strengthen individual identity and responsibilities.

weekly. 2 hours per session minimum (for set up/clear up either side of session), minimum of 1 session per week. Friday has 2 classes 4pm-530pm, 6pm-730pm. Tues & Wed have one class each 4pm-530pm.
Experience required: An interest in working with young people/youth work. Either an art background or interest in cooking
depending on which sessions you are volunteering for.
