DEBRA is a national charity and patient support organisation for people living with the rare, extremely painful, genetic skin blistering condition, Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) also known as ‘Butterfly Skin’. EB causes the skin to become very fragile and tear or blister at the slightest touch. With your help we can find treatments and cure(s) for EB. Volunteering in a DEBRA shop can teach you new skills as well as meeting new people and gaining experience in retail. The role involves: - Operating a till to take cash and card payments - Engaging with customers on the shop floor - Replenishing stock on the shop floor - Recording donor details for gift aid - Creating eye catching displays

-Could you be there for children? At Childline, our free counselling service for children, a child contacts us every 25 seconds. And thanks to our dedicated volunteers, who do a shift each week, we can offer support when it’s needed most. To make sure it stays that way, we’re looking for more brilliant people who want to make a difference. After you get trained and set up in your local base, you’ll be helping children and young people who need someone to talk to. HALLA-Harlaw Area Lifelong Learning Association 's free Breakfast Club, generously funded by NHS Grampian, is a heartwarming initiative hosted at the Kaimhill Learning Centre in Garthdee. Taking place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 8:15am - 8:45am this program ensures that children living in Garthdee start their day with a nutritious breakfast, setting a positive tone for their educational journey. The club not only addresses food insecurity but also creates a supportive community environment including activities such as reading a story together and mental health activities. To sustain and expand this impactful endeavour, HALLA is actively seeking dedicated volunteers to contribute their time and efforts by giving just 1hr per week (8am - 9am) during term-time. Your involvement can make a significant difference in the lives of these children, fostering a brighter and healthier future for our community.
