Meal Makers is a local neighbourhood food-sharing project that connects people who love cooking, and who are happy to share an extra portion of home cooked food, with an older neighbour who would really appreciate a freshly prepared meal and a friendly chat.
Time required to complete would be roughly 2 hours per week or fortnight and times are agreed between yourself and the diner. They try where possible to match people locally so this can be fitted in alongside your other commitments
Food Train Connects provides support for older people who may be isolated and lonely and needing extra support with weekly grocery shopping as well as other activities. Volunteering with Food Train Connects makes an impact on the lives of older people in your community. Our aim is to support older people to eat well, age well and live well in their own home as long as they wish.
