Volunteer with Friends of the Broadway Prestwick.
Friends of the Broadway Prestwick is a community group dedicated to bringing the former Broadway Cinema in Prestwick into community ownership.
Our aim is to reopen the Broadway as a professional cinema, exciting multi-use venue, and inter-generational community hub.
We are looking for a Volunteer Membership Secretary to:
• Become familiar with the new membership system once established, ensuring it remains up to date
• Oversee and manage membership reminders and renewals regularly
• Promote and encourage increased membership
• Create a written automated welcome to all new members, offering relevant information about membership
• Communicate with members who have any difficulties with the system
• Report on any day-to-day concerns to the Project Development Officer
• Update and engage members in other initiatives and project events as they arise
• Facilitate feedback arrangements and surveys involving the membership
• Liaise with the project’s Bookkeeper and Director of Finance as necessary
• Provide regular reports to the Board on current membership status, including any identified issues

Friends of the Broadway Prestwick was founded in 2012 by local volunteers, with the aim of purchasing the building and reopening the Broadway Cinema once again. We’re Friends of the Broadway Prestwick, and we’re a community group dedicated to bringing the former Broadway Cinema in Prestwick into community ownership. Our aim is to reopen the Broadway as a cinema and inter-generational community hub.
Experience required: • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office management systems and recording procedures
• Experience with website management (non-essential, training provided)
• Experience with Wix subscription services (non-essential, training provided)
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• An interest in working with people
• Discretion and confidentiality
Minimum age: 18
