At Key we support disabled people of all ages throughout Scotland. We believe that good support is essential for a good life and we work alongside each person we support, and their family, to help them live life to the full. People we support are actively involved in everything we do through our strong partnership with TAG (The Advisory Group) - a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation run by disabled people. TAG supports people to play a central role, alongside our Board of Directors, in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation and ensuring the quality of our services. We are looking to develop our range of group and workshop activities within in our central Ayr hub and our supported accommodation project. We are looking to recruit volunteers who are willing to share their skills, knowledge and talents with the people who use our services. Main duties: Together we will identify the skills and interests of volunteer group facilitators; to develop a programme of activities for people we support; so they can benefit from volunteer led group sessions to try/ find out more about/develop new skills and activities, build confidence and reduce social isolation. Group sessions will be co facilitated by volunteer(s) and a member of staff.

SSAFA branches are there to support Veterans in their time of need. Could you lead this valuable service in your area? If you have leadership skills and enjoy engaging with the community, we would love to hear from you. The Inverness and Western Isles branch of the SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is hoping to attract a new Branch Chair to lead the way for veterans in the community. The role would suit someone who is keen to provide leadership and oversee all aspects of the branch. You don't need a military background, but experience of managing people and good IT skills is required. You would need a weekly commitment to the role but is flexible to your other commitments. Some requirement to travel to attend meetings with other chairs from across the region as well as your local branch. SSAFA covers all travel and other expenses that may incur in your role. The Branch Chair provides leadership to the Branch ensuring that all activities comply with SSAFA regulations and supporting volunteers in key roles and identifying candidates for future opportunities, ensures the financial integrity of the Branch, overseeing a local fundraising programme to raise funds for SSAFA, and overseeing an appropriate programme of awareness-raising so that potential clients, volunteers and supporters know how to contact the branch. SSAFA volunteer Caseworkers make sure no Veteran has to battle alone - could you be the direct link someone needs to get the help they deserve? Join us today! The Inverness and Western Isles branch of SSAFA , the Armed Forces charity is hoping to attract more caseworkers. SSAFA caseworkers help clients across a range of areas, with all assistance tailored to individual needs. This can include sourcing funds for special equipment for someone with a disability, arranging adaptions to a property so an older client can remain at home, or securing funds for a rental deposit. Caseworkers also sign-post clients onto specialist local services for advice on benefits, housing, mental health, debt, finding work and more. SSAFA's volunteers caseworkers provide an essential source of support to the local Armed Forces community, but volunteering is also well documented as bringing numerous rewards to those who give their time, including a sense of pride and an opportunity to give something back. If you have administrative skills, good with IT, a good organiser and enjoy engaging with the community, we would love to hear from you. The Inverness and Western Isles branch of the SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is hoping to attract a new Branch Secretary to support the Branch Chair to provide SSAFA services for veterans in the community. The role of the Branch Secretary would suit someone who is keen to provide administrative and organisational support to the branch. You don't need a military background, but experience of administrative and good IT skills is required. Confidence to use email, MS Teams and SSAFA systems would be required for this role. You would need a weekly commitment to this role but is flexible around your other commitments. You will support the Branch Chair to support and manage volunteers and assist in the onboarding of new volunteers to the branch. You would provide administration for an annual programme of meetings including the AGM, recording and implementing decisions. If you enjoy working with people and have good communication skills and written English we'd love to hear from you.
