Polmont Playgroup would love an extra volunteer to join their Funding/Grants Team. They have a team with lots of experience to support you. You can choose how often you would like to help out whether that be one application per day, per week or per month - whatever works for you!
Polmont Playgroup are a registered charity offering an early years experience for children between 2-5 years old. They are a mixture of paid staff (those looking after the children) and volunteers who support with the running and administration of the charity. As a charity, to help keep the service running, the playgroup need to fundraise and apply for grants, this is where they need your help!
Polmont Playgroup need a volunteer to help identify grants to apply for online - but don’t worry, you won’t be on your own. Other volunteers will be actively looking for suitable grants to apply for and can help you identify and search for these.
If you can help translate the great work at Polmont Playgroup and the need for support into grant applications, they would love to have you as part of the team! Whether this is a one-off, a few hours a week, month or more, your help would be greatly appreciated.
All volunteers are home-based, however can communicate and meet via WhatsApp, Teams/FaceTime, email or meet up in our Playgroup meeting room for a chat and catchup.
Polmont Playgroup has been operating for more than 30 years providing a valuable service to the community. The staff believe that learning should be fun and encourage the children in all activities providing opportunities to develop social, emotional and intellectual skills. Activities are based around "A Curriculum for Learning 3 to 5 years" and the new "Curriculum for Excellence". Our range of activities encourage motor skill development, role play, language, counting, music and social skills. As our playleaders are employed full time we do not have a parent rota to help at our sessions however we do encourage parental involvement through good communication, supporting learning at home and sharing any special skills or occupations with the children.
