No matter how good our services are, we can't properly support our users/community well if we don't have good organisers in the team. If this sounds like you... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week.
Mentor Scotland is a peer to peer support group based in West Dunbartonshire. We have drop in sessions, male and female talking groups, cold water therapy, walk & talk group, and other activities. Our aim is to help end the stigma attached to mental health and provide a service to the community that supports wellbeing in all aspects of life. We value respect, care and we want to nurture those who attend our services to help them grow and thrive.
Peer Support Volunteers help with - Setting up tables, chairs, tea, coffee and biscuits.
Welcome members, connect with members and provide a safe, supportive environment for all who attend the group. Potential for progression onto facilitating talking groups and becoming part of the organisation team.
So whether you are looking to use your time well, update your skills or have the chance to do something a bit new, we can offer you a warm welcome and all of the support and help you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
We aim to connect others in a community and provide them with the tools to help themselves to overcome challenges they face and help point people in the right direction for further support where required.
