No matter how good our services are, we can’t properly support our users/community well if we don’t have good organisers in the team. If this sounds like you?... we would love you to consider volunteering with us for a few hours per week/month
The Climate Action Hub at WDCVS is here to support community groups to take action on climate change. We support all kinds of groups, whether they're interested in community food growing, saving energy, or helping people learn more about the plants and animals they live near to.
Our friendly office is an ideal place for you to put your administration skills to great use- ideally you would have good computer skills, be good with the members of the public, have a good telephone manner and keep records up to date.
We'd love for someone to support with office administration tasks and occasionally representing the Hub at community events.
An example of some of the tasks might be:
Emails - inviting groups along to Hub events; sending reminders; forwarding on events and information to groups; chasing follow-up information.
Funding - looking for funding grants which fit into Hub themes.
Support with Hub events - helping to set up and down; welcoming people and helping attendees sign in; managing the chat in online events; managing the Hub stall at community events.
Help with other reasonable tasks when needed, in line with the role.
So, whether you are looking to use your time well or update your skills, we would love to hear from you. In return we can offer you a warm welcome and all the support you could need.
We are seeing a rise in demand for our services everyday. Having your help will allow us to be there for the people who need us. Any time you can give will make a real difference.
