The Inverness and Western Isles branch of the SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity is hoping to attract a new Branch Secretary to support the Branch Chair to provide SSAFA services for veterans in the community. The role of the Branch Secretary would suit someone who is keen to provide administrative and organisational support to the branch. You don't need a military background, but experience of administrative and good IT skills is required. Confidence to use email, MS Teams and SSAFA systems would be required for this role. You would need a weekly commitment to this role but is flexible around your other commitments.
You will support the Branch Chair to support and manage volunteers and assist in the onboarding of new volunteers to the branch. You would provide administration for an annual programme of meetings including the AGM, recording and implementing decisions. If you enjoy working with people and have good communication skills and written English we'd love to hear from you.
