We have an exciting opportunity to get involved with our North Lanarkshire Branch and help out at their Coffee Group in Motherwell.
The Coffee Group provides an opportunity for autistic adults to meet in a relaxed, safe environment to gently socialise, enjoy some peer support and help reduce feelings of isolation.
We already have some great volunteers involved in this work, and we are keen to recruit more to develop the group.
Do you have personal experience of autism and want to make a difference in your local community?
Are you:
Approachable, patient and understanding of the needs of others?
Confident and able to speak to new people attending a group and make them feel welcome?
Able to reliably commit a few hours a month to attend and support at our Coffee Group?
The National Autistic Society exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autism and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs.
